Brent

Brent
Brent m
English: transferred use of the surname, which is derived from any of several places in Devon and Somerset which are on or near prominent hills, and seem therefore to have been named with a Celtic or Old English term for a hill. The given name has enjoyed considerable popularity in Britain in the 1970s and 1980s, and may have been influenced by BRETT (SEE Brett), which has experienced a similar vogue, starting somewhat earlier.
